RC2 transformed a tight urban space into a modern living oasis with the 3030 South Water Street apartments. We oversaw the manufacturing, delivery, and installation of 56 modular units, navigating the unique challenges of a riverside location in Pittsburgh’s South Side.
With the building footprint nearly mirroring the project site, on-site storage was non-existent, and crane placement was severely limited. Meticulous planning and execution were crucial to install each of the units. We orchestrated a continuous flow of units from an off-site storage lot half a mile away, coordinating with professional traffic control to temporarily close one lane of Water Street and the sidewalk. Each day, the crane retracted its outriggers to reopen both lanes, showcasing our commitment to minimizing disruption to the bustling city life.
